Johns Hopkins Studies

Posted below are reports written by Dr. Kossoff that discuss using the Atkins Diet for Seizures. Thank you, Dr. Kossoff, for sharing this with us. Note these are in pdf format.

Note: Because of the success and spreading popularity of this manner of treating seizures, more and more doctors, nutritionists, neurological centers and hospitals are offering support. In some cases, the work with studies (and grants) is being repeated in new parts of the world. Ask your doctor for a referral!

I’m 60 years old with what I have always called partial seizure epilepsy. It’s been uncontrollable with meds since 2017. I’m on meds 6 & 7. I’m now trying the Modified Atkins Diet.

Is there research on adults on a keto diet?

Yes there is and you should be able to find some of the information in our recommended reading list. I hope the Modified Atkins Diet works for you!
